In this workshop, you’ll practice basics of the form that allow you to move with both mindful awareness and a spontaneous responsiveness to your own inner impulses for movement and / or stillness. Though this practice you gain insight while connecting more deeply to your inner source of energy and creativity.
This Winter Workshop is open to those new to Authentic Movement, as well as to those with previous experience. We will begin with a brief introduction to the history and form of Authentic Movement, followed by time to engage in the practice.

Susan Bauer has been dedicated to the discipline of Authentic Movement since 1984. She has studied with Janet Adler and several graduates of the Mary Starks Whitehouse Institute of Authentic Movement in Northampton, MA. Susan has a passion for both introducing beginners to this practice and leading experienced practitioners into its further depth through her classes and private practice as a Registered Master Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist.
